If it was 1999 then it would be great software. But...it's 2021 and this software is very janky, slow and ugly.

The software is unintuitive and not very useable for ad agency project management or resourcing (not sure if it even offers that functionality). I've used it for 6 years now and find that rather than focusing on proper user experience updates, cosmetic changes will be made that often make the experience worst or more confusing. It's very dated feeling on the frontend and would gladly move to something else.

Let's begin with a simple test, is Webvantage data secure. Webvantage does not transmit data using https, so immediately they fail. While I agree with other reviews about the sizing and saving being a pain, if the data they store for you can easily be hacked then the company is failing at the most basic thing. AVOID.

Verified Review

I'm an agency employee, and only use the timesheet and timesheet approval modules. I generally try to start a review saying something positive, but I can't think of anything. Worst software I've ever used. Unintuitive: Basic functions like finding a new job have no button or link.
Unusable: Even when the window is maximized on 1920 resolution screen, the entire timesheet can't fit in the window. Plus, column headers aren't sticky, and in my current view, there 192 ICONS making the rows an columns blend into a visual trainwreck. I am constantly entering hours to the wrong job or day.
Slow and unresponsive: Be prepared for a few to several seconds wait after every action.
Frustrating. Remember Windows 3.1. where windows would open inside other windows, making navigation and resizing windows a nightmare? Well, the 80s are back with Aqua!
Time wasting: Everytime you need to enter a comment, you must click, wait, enter, click, the wait for the screen to refresh.

And don't even get me going on timesheet approval. Visual chaos.

This is not software needs to be improved. It needs to be REPLACED.

I have worked with many agencies who use Advantage. Usually the issues are that the staff is not up-to-date on the software's features and how to use it. The software is incredibly robust in all areas from pm to accounting to media. I'd take a good look at their features and get some training before knocking them. One recent client was thrilled to learn that they have a mobile app for tasks, time, expenses, alerts, etc. Changed their life and perspective on the software. Another loves their new pm boards - great for smaller and digital agencies. Just thought I'd chime in since I don't agree with all the comments.

This is truly the worst project management software I've ever worked with. Nothing is intuitive. You have to open a new window for every task and minimized windows aren't easy to find or disappear entirely. Some data you have to hit Save to enter, some is automatically saved, some you have to hit an nondescript button to refresh the view. Some tasks you have to right click a random white space on the screen to get to. Information that should be easy to view is buried. You could be in the middle of a task and the program will suddenly log you out. Whoever designed this has never 1- managed a project and 2- tried using their own product.

This is one of the worst project/account management software programs I have ever used. It is clunky, slow, and counter-intuitive. You have to open window after window to find the locations of core activities like managing projects and recording hours against projects. The support provided does not address many bugs in the system. I would highly recommend going with something like ActiveCollab or another more user-friendly program.

Verified Review

If you are a smaller agency, I would not recommend this software. For starters, you will be locked into a 1 year contract. Their training isn't that great and once you run out of their "free" hours with training, the company acts like a lawfirm and will bill you for your time. Setup is extremely difficult and documentation is spread out all over the place. You will pay over $1,000.00 a minimum of $540.00 a month to use.

This is not a package for smaller agencies. You should have someone with a strong accounting background on staff, and be prepared to have your account managers spend hours per day in the system. Out of the box it required a great deal of setup, adjustment and training to make it go. The Advantage staff was knowledgeable and responsive, but we are a year into our implementation and still scratching our heads too often as we figure out the finer points. Does it work? Yes. We can report on anything, which is what big agencies need. But we now spend 10 times what we did on software fees, and twice as long doing data entry. Way too much overhead for smaller agencies.

Great advertising solution. Very impressed by how easy everything flowed after the initial signup and integration procedures. Still trying the product out as a whole but so far so good.
