The first thing they ask for are the passwords to your financial accounts - you know, the passwords you're absolutely not supposed to hand out to some random website? Guess what happens when they gain access to $billions of accounts - I do not want to find out!

I used Hellowallet for years and just got the following message OUT OF THE BLUE:
"Thank you for your time as a HelloWallet member. Your HelloWallet account has now been closed and your data has been marked for deletion. You will no longer be able to sign in to HelloWallet at this time."
All my data is gone, I cannot log in and they have no record of my information. I poured tons of time into setting up budgets and Hellowallet was already such a pain trying to get accounts to connect. What an unprofessional nightmare on the part of Hellowallet and Keybank. Stay far away!

I was previously a corporate client. After Keybank acquired Hellowallet (1 year later) I get a notice on Friday at 7:00 via e-mail that my account has been closed my data has been deleted and "thank you very much for being a customer". I called to escalate the issue, no response. I never right reviews. In this case I feel compelled to. The software experience is mediocre, I dealt with the glitches since it was free. The customer service experience is positively awful. Avoid Keybank and Hellowallet like they are the plague.

This site is a joke. My largest account could not be added because it was in "beta testing". They had no clue how long it would take. They suggested I add the account manually. For a trading account with over 50 positions that change? Are you kidding me hellowallet? You are a waste of time.

Also an unhappy keybank customer. Hellowallet accounts have to be reconnected when you sign back on. Also some of your accounts don't show transactions? When you contact support all you get is techs are working on it?

Keybank took away our existing tracking and budgeting program, which was excellent. They replaced it with HelloWallet, which is not. HW does not create reports that are helpful at tax time--that is, it won't create reports with subtotals by category, or even any totals, when you download transactions. You have do all that manually in Excel. And what a manual task it is! First, HW won't download the dates you search for (even though it says it will, right there on the search bar), instead it downloads ALL dates since you began with HW, no matter what. Second, it won't consistently cough up a category, say, "groceries." Sometimes it says there are "no transactions for that time period," (or words to that effect) even though "groceries" is all over the place on one's account. So, your only option if you want to see tax related expenses in a report, is to either download every single transactions and then delete the ones for the period or the categories you don't want, and then sort alphabetically by category, then insert a row between the list for each category so that you can manually insert a formula. (!)
OR, you can just keep entering search terms, such as "rental income," "rental repairs," and each separate category of your business expenses. Then insert the rows, formulas, etc.

IN other words, this can take hours. The old program took a few minutes to select the right categories, hit enter, and there's your report.

I fault KeyBank for trashing an excellent product and replacing it with a lousy project; I fault HelloWallet for touting a product that is so limited, as being "all you need" for your financial planning and budgeting.

If it doesn't help you at tax time, it's not "all you need." If i could give HW zero stars, I would.

My bank (KEY) dropped their budget tool and added this as our option. I have not been able to add my bank to wallet and have been in contact with hello wallet since Dec. 27th via phone, email and chat and have not had a fix to my problem. I call & mailbox full. I email and get told they forwarded to tech support. Still no resolution and its Jan 22!! Poor, poor support. Nervous about them having my financial data!!

I have never used a better financial software program like this one. Everything I need to make solid financial decisions in one place. My bank accounts are now showing the growth I have always envisioned.
