Friday, May 11, 2012 #1935 Gary from Mercury Host When I started out with UptimeHost, they were in Beta, and I helped do some testing. I hosted several accounts with them and all was pretty decent. Then some changes were made at the top level, and that's when the trouble started. First off, all my sites and accounts vanished one day, because I was accidentally put on a "test" server that was decommissioned. No backups, no recovery. They did credit me some of my money back, and put me on a new server - to start over from my own backups. Then they suffered from terrible performance, rude and unhelpful tech support, and general mismanagement, including a phone system that NEVER connects you to anyone. I migrated all of my sites to another host about four months ago, but Uptime continues to bill me, no matter how many support and cancellation tickets I open. I will be taking legal action.
