Have been a customer for a couple of years. They have always provided fast, professional support. 99% of all problems I have given them, they have solved quickly. The 1% they couldn't solve was only due to something being unfixable. Like files missing with no backup (My fault). These guys really have great Linux/cPanel skills. I highly recommend them.

My mishap with 24x7servermanagement.com

We are a hosting company and we had a problem on a server, with damaged cluster disks.
Not having the system administrator available because of a fever, we contacted 24x7servermanagement.com.

We wrote to 24x7servermanagement.com:

We saw in the log:

Nov 4 03:58:11 srv smartd [842]: Device: / dev / sda [SAT], 37 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors
Nov 4 03:58:12 srv smartd [842]: Device: / dev / sdb [SAT], 31 Currently unreadable (pending) sectors

Do you want to check in?

I bought their service management and they have analyzed the problem:

The SDA and SDB can both have the issue of unreadable sector.
For now, I will suggest you as follows:
Replace SDA, then update us and we will reconstruct the RAID sync.
Once the RAID sync is complete, then we will do the same for SDB ..

Datacenter wrote me:
Please make sure beforehand, that the GRUB bootloader is installed on both HDDs.
Afterwards, you'll have to reintegrate the HDD into the existing RAID-arrays and wait for the resync to be finished.

So I wrote a 24x7servermanagement: GRUB bootloader is installed on both HDDs?
24x7servermanagement wrote to me: it is obvious that the grub is installed, is raid.

The datacenter has changed the first SDB disk, server restarted and resync raid done.

Then, the datacenter changed the second SDA disk, server does not restart. The server has been down for over 14 hours because it did not start, over 1000 sites down on this server. Servermanagement has responded every time with different technicians and nobody has managed to solve the problem. Then, in despair I contacted cloudlinux support and they wrote to me:

Cloudlinux wrote me:
Your issue was resolved with grub2-efi-x64 package, the system is online. However, there are fs errors, probably you need to make fscheck and maybe verify raid on the system.

Thanks Cloudlinux, they have the best support in the world and always solve problems.

Then, once the server started, the PDNS and cPanel PHP-fpm services did not start, so I wrote to servermanagement, they did not solve the problem, so I wrote to cpanel and they solved the problem.

In conclusion, my advice: I thought that these servermanagement were good, I was wrong, they are not able to solve the problems are incompetent, do not trust them.

I did not want to do this review, but servermanagement made me suffer for over 14 hours, they teased me and deserve this review.

I asked 24x7servermanagement for the reimbursement for the damage they did to our company, nothing.

Do not trust servermanagement.

Please read my reply carefully.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience. We're normally known for our exceptional attention to critical issues, and we regret that we took little more time to resolve this issue, For which we had already informed you.

The work was scheduled to be done in 2 patches, first was replacement of second disk and then sync the array and the second one was to replace the first disk and then sync the array again. The first part was done with no issues. Only when the second part was initiated, the server was directly handed over in rescue mode without any intimation/screenshot of why it was put in rescue mode.

More chances of server not rebooting relates to the Cloudlinux package, as the same thing has been evident to lot of people around and only CloudLinux support was the answer left, as the package provided was from them only "grub2-efi-x64-2.02-0.65.el7_4.2.cloudlinux.x86_64.rpm" so they already knew things that would potentially break the system running CloudLinux if the system using their package does not boot up.

Similar incident like you, which no one answered for 3 years can be found in below link..

It took very less time for cloudlinux to resolve because they are already aware of such issue, whereas when we close to the solution we found cloudlinux had already fixed the grub loader.

On the PHP-FPM service issue you reported, as far as I know, there was issue with php-fpm service, which was reported in the later part and was addressed too and was replied with answer too with verification log of service being online after it was fixed when it was tested from our end. Should it have been already fixed, you would have received reply from our end stating that the "service is already online" and the reason why it was updated to you that it being fixed is because we saw the error and when we applied the fix and restarted the service, the service restarted properly.

Your analysis on rating us negative is unfair as had you trusted us by giving us some more time we could have resolved this issue for you. It was just a matter of time and having little faith with us nothing else.

I had the unfortunate mishap of a major server issue which left me scrambling for an advanced server admin. I was lucky to find 24x7servermanagement they were knowledgeable and did an absolute great job at recovering my server. I reach out for help with my Server this month and they have been more than helpful. They really transformed a bad situation to a good one plus so much more. Not gonna lie I had my doubts in the start but oh wow was I wrong for that. Honestly this is the best company I have ever worked with and I'm not getting NOTHING to say this, I generally urge anyone on the fence to just try the Service! My servers got hacked multiple times, my clients website when it was hacked the team did not take any importance of checking the cause of hacked and it was repeatedly times getting hacked, after my client complained me about the security flaw, then they admitted security was not set by them, secondly whenever we are on critical of issue, we come on chat or call they abruptly cut the chat or call service as if we are begging them, i have tried my best to convey the message, thirdly, i have not used the service but still they compell me to pay for the consecutive month of non usage, when i have reminded them about month to month contract, they treaten to stop services. I have visited them to find out solutions.. I can say that my business have completely got finished due to their support.

Its your own mistakes for not monitoring and managing your overcrowded server, When you have unwanted domains hosted on your server and you are not taking any efforts for cleaning the bad domains this is bound to happen. Your servers got hacked because you are not ready to improve your server infrastructure and play around with security just to please your clients as per their convenience. Your services were cancelled before the server got hacked , Because you failed to pay for maintaining your server for almost 2 months. After years of services being provided to you, You never paid on time and infact its your bad habit of bargaining which is the reason for your servers getting hacked, because you are trying to save money at any level and not ready to spend to upgrade your infrastructure or add additional manpower to manage your server.
Kindly, Do not blame us for your failures. Finally we do not provide phone support so , Do not call, Do not whatsapp. Your number is already blocked.

Customer since Feb, 2017. I have two servers managed by them and I would say that is the best management server that I have hired!

Sharing my last experience, I had a down time few minutes ago and I got a response from (Mandeep Pama) in 3 minutes after opening a critical issue ticket.

I am their customer since March 2010, it all started with a server down, difficult to repair and my previous server management company simply could not handle the issue, I started a thread at webhostingtalk and 24x7 people suggested a solution, I hired them and since then I never look back, months and months pass that I never need them, their work behind the scenes is enough to keep everything going well, sometimes there is an emergency, like yesterday, I was without internet for 3 days! and one server went down, working through phone messages 24x7 Chief worked with me to contact the datacenter repair the issue and fix everything, including ready to contact my customers with an update while I was offline and my other service personnel were out of the loop.

Total Scum!
They agreed to install proxmox and a vps template plus install the clones needed.
after we purchased the dedicated server based on their assurances of service and price of 100$ they refused to do the clone and even changed the password on our root server without our permission!

We never changed root password, You were not clear your service requirements. We gave you price for 1 server, Nobody is going to clone 90 servers just for $100. Just because we didn't agreed on your price you sounded very irritated. Final conclusion suggests your review is totally false because we never provided you services.
