Agrocalc

Agrecalc is a prominent carbon reporting tool developed through the collaboration of SAC Consulting and SRUC (Scotlands Rural College). Initially created in 2007 to calculate the carbon footprint of imported lamb, it has evolved into a comprehensive Platform as a Service (PaaS) by 2014. Agrecalc specializes in providing accurate calculations of carbon footprints on farms and throughout the supply chain, focusing on resource efficiency. The software solution offered by Agrecalc helps in calculating, benchmarking, and mitigating carbon emissions in agriculture. It features whole farm emissions calculations, an upgraded soil carbon module, and a biochar module developed in partnership with Black Bull Biochar. Agrecalc supports the transition to low-carbon and regenerative agriculture by quantifying and reducing carbon footprints across the food supply chain. The platform has been utilized in various government programs and initiatives, showcasing its significant role in agricultural carbon management.
