Thieves run away quick. The sales team tells you the software can do things it can't. Lots of hidden fees. Adds ficticios account to payroll

I really wish that I read the previous review before e-signing this nightmare of a contract. I have experienced the EXACT same thing as CeCe Stone. I initially signed a contract that had a $0/monthly minimum if we did not have any clients using the system but was told it was an error and needed to sign a new one...I also requested to cancel within the 90 days after all of our clients HATED it and we found it extremely cumbersome. It also never calculated a single payroll properly when simulating a side-by-side with our current system. We were also told, "oops sorry it doesn't or can't do that." I have requested no less than 10 times for them to stop auto-billing me while my attorney works this out. They REFUSE. There are a million SaaS companies out there and NO ONE is doing 2 year contracts on payroll software. Beware and stay away!

*SECOND REVIEW* Yes, this is my second review for this TERRIBLE company and its equally HORRIBLE payroll software. That is because they threatened legal action for my original negative review stating that it was in violation of my company’s contract with them. So, I removed it until the contract could be reviewed.
For any other customer that has been unhappy with this company and/or their products or services and have been threatened into removing a negative review or discouraged from leaving one in the first place, I recommend you refer to the Consumer Review Fairness Act that states it is illegal to ban honest reviews and/or for a company to include a provision in its terms and conditions that prohibits or punishes negative reviews by customers.
TERRIBLE COMPANY and TERRIBLE PRODUCT… BEWARE OF THE HYPE THEY DRUM UP DURING THEIR SALES PITCH!
I should have paid attention to the red flag when we initially tried to use the product and the customer service representative said we had to use the “real internet.” In case, like me, you are unclear what that means, she was referring to the Windows Internet Explorer browser or as she referred to it “the e.”
After firing up the “e” and during our initial review of the product and their verbal sales pitch, several payroll functions were promised as was the promise of a 90-day review period after purchase. It was within this period that we realized this product was AWFUL to work with and did not perform as promised. When we made attempts to cancel our purchase it was pointed out that our contract did not provide for a grace period and we were locked into paying for a terrible product for the duration of our contract.
This company is the epitome of the term “BAIT and SWITCH!”
During the orientation the host would point out functions or areas of the program that couldn’t or shouldn’t be used because they had been developed for a specific client, but they did not apply to any other user. What kind of software “provides” functions that are irrelevant?!?!
During their product orientation (prior to purchase), we were told the payroll program would calculate “net-to-gross” payrolls. Once we started using the product, we were informed by their customer support representative that the sales person who promised that feature was incorrect. Their software simply provides a net to gross calculator tool, you then must go through the lengthy process of editing the employee’s pay information for each individual employee you need to calculate payroll for before you can process payroll. You would have to repeat these steps for EVERY SINGLE net to gross payroll check. The process to produce a manual check is equally as cumbersome and inefficient.
These examples are just a couple of the MANY inefficient processes required to use this payroll software. To set up a new company (just the company not the employees, that was an entirely DIFFERENT set of screens), you must set up and scour through several different screens to get the payroll to process correctly. I have 20 years in the accounting field and this is hands down THE WORST PAYROLL SOFTWARE I have ever had the misfortune of using. It is cumbersome, inflexible, inefficient and ridiculously difficult to navigate.
As an added “bonus” I receive NUMEROUS emails on an almost daily basis from their customer service representative apologizing for the program not working properly in one way or another or promising an update to fix a problem or informing of an update that fixed a problem.
PS: During this process of review, I did observe ratings at glassdoor.com and/or indeed.com go from 4/5 stars down to 2/3… shortly thereafter, they were back up to 4/5. Just an observation. I do not know the law on prohibiting employees from leaving negative honest reviews, but my observation would lend to the fact that this company is in the business of silencing anyone who is not happy with them or their products. That was evident when they bragged about having the ability to remove a negative comment I made on a post of theirs on Facebook.
