Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
AutoFlow appears to be a poor fit for users accustomed to simpler accounting software, based on this user's experience migrating from EMACS.
The reviewer found AutoFlow significantly more complicated than their previous system, describing workflows as "long winded and backwards." Account migration caused substantial problems, requiring weeks of manual correction after the first quarter. The invoicing process reportedly takes double the time, and the software's native integration with Sage produces fragmented invoice records that confuse both the user and customers. An additional paid program is apparently needed to smooth data transfers, adding unexpected cost.
While the user acknowledges AutoFlow is cheaper than EMACS, they value ease of use and efficiency enough to prefer paying more for a simpler alternative. For teams already using EMACS or expecting straightforward accounting workflows, this review suggests AutoFlow may introduce friction rather than solve it.
This assessment is based on a single review and represents one user's experience; additional feedback would provide broader context.

“We changed over from EMACS to Autoflow and it was…”
We changed over from EMACS to Autoflow and it was the worst decision my manager has ever made. EMACS was so straight forward and easy to use and Autoflow is so long winded and backwards. It messed up my accounts and took me weeks to rectify at the end of our first 1/4 using it. It is so complicated and unhelpful, you even need to pay for and download another program to make your accounts transfer over to sage more smoothly, otherwise each invoice is broken up into 3 parts on the statements and customers are just as confused as you are. It is cheaper than EMACS but I personally would rather pay more for a system that is a lot easier and more time efficient to use, as receiving parts and invoicing on Autoflow takes double the time .
