We take care of all the IT stuff like backups, upgrades, and security so you can concentrate on what matters – running your business and getting on with the job. Thousands of businesses rely on Insightly to manage their contacts, tasks and projects, and our infrastructure is built for the task. The Insightly server farm is located in a United States SSAE 16 type II audited data centre with redundant power and cooling, active fire detection and suppression, and staffed 24×7 by senior systems and network engineers. We utilize storage infrastructure that is highly durable and fault tolerant, with multiple levels of redundancy built in – like writing every file to multiple storage facilities in different locations synchronously to ensure against data loss. Our databases are also backed up daily and securely transferred and stored with military grade AES-256 encryption to multiple off-site locations for disaster recovery purposes. Finally, all our services are remotely monitored from 14 different locations on four continents around the world, to track uptime and response times and alert us of any abnormalities in service or performance, all in real-time.

Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews

Insightly earns consistent praise for ease of use and tight Google Workspace integration, but stumbles on reporting depth and support responsiveness as teams scale. The reviews split into two groups: detailed accounts from established users noting real trade-offs, and shorter endorsements emphasizing simplicity and mobile access.

Strengths centre on onboarding speed and intuitive design. Users repeatedly highlight how quickly new team members become productive without formal training, and how the G Suite sync eliminates manual email and contact syncing. The mobile app is a genuine differentiator—several reviewers mention logging updates and managing pipelines from client sites or airport lounges. Relationship linking and custom fields also earn mentions for flexibility on modest budgets, and uptime has been reliable across multi-year deployments.

Weak spots emerge in two areas. Reporting feels thin; multiple users want deeper pipeline visibility and smoother mobile reporting views. Permission controls are blunt for growing teams—granting access to one project type often opens doors elsewhere, creating friction as headcount rises. Customer support response times lag, particularly on technical questions; several reviewers describe templated initial replies before real traction.

The 5-star reviews tend to be brief and focused on mobile convenience and low cost, while the 3–4 star reviews offer more nuance. Insightly works well for small, mobile-heavy teams or non-profits with straightforward workflows. It becomes a constraint when you need granular permissions, sophisticated reporting, or rapid support escalation.
