Jackrabbit Dance provides a business management platform to dance studios that gives owners and/or managers the technology tools they need to operate their businesses. Jackrabbit’s customer base is generally not very tech savvy and if they do understand technology, it is not their priority. Jackrabbit’s solution is mission critical because operational process are automated or simplified to the extent that it takes little business or technology expertise for them to operate like savvy businesses.

We love Jack Rabbit, and how it has made our dance studio a real business - allowing us efficiency with data, accuracy with fees, and programming to suit all the needs of scheduling, costuming, classes, family information, emailing, etc. Also, the Support Team is excellent and their turnaround time with inquiries is very good, and their conferences very informative...and I love the new Live Chat feature! JR is probably the best thing out there, but it still falls short as a complete product. Pro's: It's easy to enter date, the classroom, student and faculty management aspects are great. It's nice you can finally send attachments through the email. Con's: It can be buggy, there is no online retail aspect, it punishes studios for growth by charging very high fees the more students you have. It's also really tough to use on a mobile device such as ipad or iphone.

We're happy that you find several things very positive about Jackrabbit. I'd love to point a couple of things out about the cons you mention: 1. Jackrabbit is constantly enhancing its software. This also means that the software is constantly changing. This may be a reason that you're seeing some things that don't work the way they did in the past. We're confident that this state of continuous improvement and change is great because it helps our software to stay current with changing business needs. 2. Retail - we've looked at the potential for creating a shopping cart, but it has not been added to a development calendar. 3. Instead of charging every client for add-on modules as some other class management softwares do, we choose to make our pricing all inclusive, yet tier it according to the amount of information you have in your system (in other words, the number of students). We don't believe that tiering our pricing according to student numbers is penalizing those who grow. After all, the more you grow, the more you're generating in enrollment revenue (you're making money off of every new student you add). The cost to store, secure and protect your data increases as your number of students increases, so our pricing model actually makes a lot of sense! 4. We're working on mobility improvements to our software beginning with the features that are most often used on mobile devices. In fact, our newly "mobilized" parent portal is rolling out in 2017. Jackrabbit Dance is an amazing service that is constantly being made better. We love that the company is always implementing new features and they are so fast to help with any questions or issues you may have- although that is not often! After exploring countless options for a viable class management system for our 5 years ago, we found Jackrabbit to be the best solution for dance schools. No other platform we looked at was specifically designed with the needs of dance educators in mind -- from technical/compliance issues such as allowing parents to enroll and accept Terms & Conditions on behalf of a child (which most platforms do not) to including a Recital module to manage performances and output to print a program. In addition, the Jackrabbit team is incredibly responsive to support issues and actively updating and improving the platform on a daily basis -- often incorporating feedback and ideas from customers. We highly recommend Jackrabbit for dance studios looking for a scalable solution to manage their database, registration, and online signup needs.

We have been using Jackrabbit Dance for about 5 years now and love how organized it has made our programming! We used to do all of our registration and enrollment by hand with tons of paperwork, and now it's all online and accessible from everywhere! It is very easy to use and new employees have no trouble learning all of the ins and outs! We use Jackrabbit for emailing our families, registration and enrollment, class attendance, billing and accounting, employee time-clocks, events, reporting, and more. It's definitely been a huge improvement to our company and has helped us grow in size!

I love using jackrabbit because it's free flowing so I can bounce between accounts and classes easily. It is easy to use and train with. I feel confident when I search for transactions ect.

I have been a Jackrabbit user for my dance studio for going on 9 years now! I LOVE the personal customer service, quick answers to any questions and updates that take place monthly! I also love that they listen to my needs as a studio owner. Many of their updates have been my ideas! I am sure not mine alone, but they listen to what we need and I am thankful for it! Jackrabbit saves me so much time and allows me to work from anywhere! LOVE the autopay and that I click a few buttons and run tuition in a flash! STRONGLY recommend them! I have looked at other programs that have popped up and none can compare to what they offer!
