Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Daylite is a Mac-focused CRM that commands strong loyalty among its users, with 14 out of 18 reviews awarding it a 5-star rating. Users consistently praise its ability to centralize business information, seamless integration with Apple Mail and devices, and intuitive linking of contacts, projects, emails, and tasks—many describe running their entire business on it. The project-based design appeals particularly to those who appreciate getting tasks out of their head and maintaining visibility across client interactions over years.
The main criticisms cluster around a few areas. Several users note limitations in sales analytics and reporting, such as conversion ratios and pipeline visibility. Windows compatibility is a frequent frustration—team members on Windows machines cannot access Daylite and must use parallel systems. Occasional technical hiccups appear, including mobile app crashes, slow syncing on larger databases, and navigation awkwardness (for instance, jumping between email and contacts on iPhone). A few users mention missing modern features like automated LinkedIn data import.
Daylite's dependence on the Apple ecosystem is both its strength and its constraint. Users with Mac-centric workflows and teams find it indispensable; those in mixed OS environments or needing advanced sales forecasting may hit walls. The software's longevity and stability—multiple reviewers report 15+ years of continuous use without data loss—suggests it delivers on core functionality, even if it falls short of some enterprise CRM capabilities.

Overall: Exceptional experience....again, I could not run my business w/o Daylite My clients, partners & cohorts - and even my competition - marvel at the fact that I can literally pull any type of historical info. from Daylite that I want. Pros: Has a local client and local copy of the database...not requiring an internet connection to work Seamless integration with Apple Mail application Ability to very easily link pretty much any data type to any other data type Cons: Doesn't (yet) include some of the more modern features of some other CRM's (Ex: Suggesting or even auto-pulling Linkedin info. for contacts) (Understandably), the project management features are not "collaborative" with clients....as each Daylite user much have a full Daylite account.

Pros: I love that it works seamlessly with all my Apple technology. I don't have to log into anything special or remember to mark anything and yet all my important communications are logged automatically whether I'm communicating via mail or my iphone. I can add notes, add a picture of handwritten notes to contact records, easily schedule followup, and nurture series to contacts. People always remark how organized I am and that I never seem lose track of things, and that's due in part to how easy Daylite makes it easy to store info, schedule followup, and manage open projects. Cons: It still needs some work to be robust in pipeline management, but that's balanced out by the fact that all my information is easily accessed.

“Pros: It keeps my whole life organised. I work at…”
Pros: It keeps my whole life organised. I work at two different companies and teach a couple of university courses each year so my life is busy. Daylite enables me to keep track of projects and people. It keeps everything I need in one place. Cons: It's a function of how calendars work, so it's not a problem that Daylite caused, but it can be difficult to keep calendars synched across a variety of platforms and devices.

“Pros: The software is project based rather than calendar based…”
Pros: The software is project based rather than calendar based but it has all the functionality of a highly effective calendar, task and file linking package. The linking of clients to projects, calendars, contacts, notes, tasks and emails is so helpful. I can click on a client or a project and see the whole history of how I have interacted with the client, what projects we have worked on, when I last spoke /emailed them etc. It makes it super easy to stay clearly on top of all of the different projects and priorities I have. It syncs with my phone and iPad and computer so I am up to date at all times. Cons: I used to wish that I could link emails on my phone to Daylite. The functionality used to only exist with the desktop. Last year, they added this functionality and now it makes my life much easier. Occasionally it hiccups in the email linking but is getting better and better as they do the fixes.

Overall: I keep track of everything and have done so for over 17 years. Run all my business through Daylite. Keep my complete calendar in Daylite. Have used it with multiple partners over the years to track projects from start to finish. The best application for business and life. Pros: It just works and is super reliable. Never lost any information in over 17 years of daily use. Cons: It could be integrated into the OS better but a minor issue.

“I have been using Daylite since v2 (now v6 and…”
I have been using Daylite since v2 (now v6 and cloud based). It provides a wide CRM feature set and integrates aspects of project and time management. For small business operators that is really useful. What is particularly useful to me, is that it integrates so well with Mail - so many leads & communications come or go via email. Being able to link Contacts, Companies, Opportunities, Projects, Appointments - and capturing that connectivity in my CRM is really useful. Having work with a Salesforce implementation where capturing email traffic and info was never as comprehensive - Daylite is a pleasure to use.
