No matter the time of day, they always respond to a tech support request. It doesn't matter how complicated my questions are, Server Surgeon is always on deck to help me. Setup and configuration of my server was exceptionally good in terms of timeline and value. Many of my contacts with the staff were positive, helpful, and timely.Sadly the negative experience is a big issue - so big that I have to move on to a new support team. websites on my server have been unavailable to attempted, but blocked, site visitors over and over again. Each time I request that the firewall be reconfigured to avoid this situation, but over and over they insist on only "whitelisting" the individual who was blocked (by allowing their IP address) without correcting the configuration.My clients and I could not continue with an onerous security configuration that blocks our site visitors - so after a year, it's time to drop their "service". Response from Server Surgeon:01 October 2019 at 14:58Hi Jeff,I am very sorry you had a bad experience and I am not going to challenge what you say. When you were here I did talk to our support manager about the issue and he indicated to me support was not getting the information they asked of you. In at least one ticket I checked you refused to give us the customers IP address that was blocked, information they needed to assist. I should have called you then rather than emailed you, resulting in this review. For most of our customers these blocks do not occur but rarely such as when someone attempts a server login with an incorrect password too many times in a short period of time, and even then we can modify the threshold of the blocks to be something you and your customers can deal with. We could also have removed the security checks altogether but that could result in server hacks. I hope that option was conveyed to you by our support and if not I am sorry.
