Review Summary
Generated using AI from real user reviews
Tartan Solutions delivers solid value as a 360 feedback platform, though it requires some support to unlock its full potential.
Users appreciate the intuitive survey builder, which allowed non-technical staff to set up competency frameworks independently. The anonymity controls were significant enough to boost participation rates meaningfully compared to prior tools. The reporting dashboards emerge as the real standout—slicing data by seniority or department and exporting summaries for one-to-ones has eliminated manual work for data-focused teams.
The main drawback is thin onboarding documentation for advanced features, forcing users to lean on support chat rather than self-serve resources. The review was cut off mid-sentence, so other concerns remain unclear. Based on this single feedback, the platform works well for structured feedback cycles once users get past the initial setup hurdle, but organisations should factor in support time if they plan to use advanced configuration options.

“We adopted this 360 feedback platform about eight months ago…”
We adopted this 360 feedback platform about eight months ago to support our performance review cycles, particularly to gather structured input on how analysts and consultants are contributing across project teams. Overall, it's been a solid addition to our toolkit.
The survey builder is intuitive enough that our HR lead could configure competency frameworks without much hand-holding, and the anonymity controls gave our staff genuine confidence that responses wouldn't be traced back to individuals — which dramatically improved participation rates compared to what we'd seen with previous tools.
The reporting dashboards are where things get genuinely impressive. Being able to slice feedback by seniority band or department, and then export clean summaries for manager one-to-ones, has saved us a considerable amount of manual collation time. For a team focused on quantitative rigour, having the data presented in a structured, exportable format matters a great deal.
That said, there are a few friction points worth flagging. The onboarding documentation felt a little thin for the more advanced configuration options — we ended up relying on support chat more than I'd have liked. Response times from the support team were usually reasonable, but not always. There's also a gap in terms of integrating the feedback outputs with our existing HR system; we're doing some manual bridging that I'd hope to see resolved through a proper integration down the line.
All in all, good value for what it delivers, and it's meaningfully improved how we run performance conversations internally.
