Probably the best thing about Wix is that it's free. You don't have to pay for hosting or for your web address, you simply create your web you want and that's it! Of course, if you don't pay, the functionality is a bit limited but it's usually enough for me and websites I make just for my personal usage.

High quality websites can be built using Wix but the process can be a headache. The website functions quite slowly. If you are new to building websites, it is not as noticeable in the beginning because you are still learning the interface and functionalities. Once you understand it all, you will realize just how slow it creeps which can be quite frustrating.
