History

xAssets was formed in 2001 after 2 years of speculative product development for a configurable browser based asset management platform. After two further years of development, customization and beta testing with three global enterprise clients, we made our first sales in 2003 and since then we have grown to be the preferred suppliers of asset management solutions to enterprises across Europe, the United States of America, Canada and Australia.

xAssets software provides IT asset management and fixed asset management solutions with integration and discovery toolsets. It is rapidly deployed and adaptive to all customer needs. Highly scalable and designed for use in high security environments. Use xAssets to control your full asset lifecycle, software licensing, contracts, service, cloud and requests, all with one simple application. Manage Fixed Assets with a single holistic repository for asset accounting, depreciation, barcoding, planned maintenance, procurement, spares, storage and disposal. Discover and manage networks from 100’s to 100,000’s of assets with a fast, agentless, zero-impact discovery across all common platforms that can be customised with a socket architecture which allows you to plug in scripts and new discovery tools which execute either per-node or across many nodes. All aspects of the system including dashboards, queries, forms, reports, integrations, data handling and workflow can be configured to customer requirements. Configuration is mostly done within the user interface and is very quick. xAssets can be deployed on-site or provided as a SaaS solution and has been tested and security certified by the US Air Force. Assets Implementations include one of the most powerful integration toolsets available — xAssets Data Transformation Services. Data can be exchanged with any data source including local databases, web services, office files, other files and all major database applications. The financials engine offers flexibility to implement depreciation calculations based on any mathematical formula and the formulae can include calls into scripts and functions to ensure that any calculation requirement is met in an efficient way.

xAssets Support & Customer Service

xAssets provides proactive support to all licensed customers and provides access to senior implementation consultants. We try hard to ensure that customer requirements and met and expectations are exceeded. Successful implementations and substantial return on investment in enterprise software can only happen if the vendor/supplier provides excellent customer support.

Our goal is always to resolve support incidents within 30 minutes of receiving the ﬁrst call or email. We do not direct customers to online ticketing because we prefer to give direct and immediate access to product specialists and technical consultants. With xAssets the customers ﬁrst contact with the company isn’t an automated call director. Instead our highly trained product specialists answer the phone and speak directly with the customer. When feasible we will log into the customer’s network and work directly with the individual to resolve the problem, answer the question or provide some instruction on how to meet a speciﬁc requirement. Where commercially viable we work to go beyond the stated contractual requirements to ensure that every customer receives the best service possible.

Summary: We needed agentless discovery, strong reporting and BI, notifications and workflows adjusted to fit our processes. This was done quickly and efficiently by the implementation team. We were up and running within a couple of days and we can use the product from any mobile device or browser so we don't have to maintain clients or agents. Very happy.

Positive: The implementation team are awesome. We provided them with a simple list of needs and they were able to go far beyond this in a relatively short time scales just from their experience and insight. Within a couple of days we had a full network discovery of 4,000 nodes completed, and SCCM integration was completed for our NJ network as soon as access was granted.

Negative: Not much to complain about, the software itself is very good. Reporting in SAM and ITAM will always be complex, but the query drilldown capabilities within the product allowed us to build a custom set of onscreen reports very quickly.

We now have a fully structured asset tracking tool with a feature set that suits our needs, Jira integration, Procurement process and Contract tracking and alerts. The tool has a wide range of feature sets and even has the ability to track fixed business assets such as fleet vehicles and office equipment like tables, chairs etc. It really is the Swiss army knife of tools, limited only by your imagination. I was also impressed with some ideas i considered to be useful to my situation and the team at Xassets were easy to work with to implement these.

PROS
We were in a position of not knowing what our fleet was or where it was. Being a not for profit we needed a solution that would perform the required tasks and be cost effective to the business. Our most important goal was to find a tool to use that would work with our new Jira install. Xassets was weighted against other tools and clearly stood out ticking all the boxes.

Our first priority was to integrate the tool with SCCM and Active Directory and get the same number of Desktops & Servers in the Report and xAssets was successfully completed that in our Test lab, hence we decided to buy this software.

Pros

We have been using xAssets 7.0 since 2017 for our Hardware and Software Inventory, It is Simple, Secure and Integrates well with our SCCM and Active Directory.
It discovers not only desktops & Servers but other assets like phones, Turrets, Printers, Switches etc.
Also we can create and edit custom reports easily.

Cons

We would like to setup a rule to delete the decommissioned Assets after a period of 30-60 days which xAssets does not support the feature,Hopefully they work on this to add in their future versions.

Awesome Product & Outstanding Support

Our overall experience is fantastic. xAssets is a huge upgrade from our old, manual system. We love the automation as a result of synchronizing with other systems. This product allowed us to be more effcient in managing our IT assets. Support is also very important to us and xAssets always resolves any incidents promptly. I hightly recommend xassets for your IT asset managment needs.
Pros

I liked most the automation aspects of the solution and how we were able to customize it to fit our needs.
Cons

No complaints. Intially there were a few kinks with integration, however xAssets worked diligently to resolve those issues quickly.

Excellent software, excellent support

We implemented xAssets for our Fixed Asset and Stock Management in 2018, and have used it for three years now with great success. The software is in the cloud, so we did not need to install it. It works from our mobile phones and from PCs and apple macs, so we can use it from any location and when on the move. The system was configured to our needs which meant we only needed a handful of menus, and as a result we did not need training. The system is great for reporting, if I need a new report I can get that quickly without needing help and the way the system automatically builds a drilldown structure for each report I create is really cool.

Pros: Able to use it from any device, pricing is very reasonable and the support we get is fantastic. Depreciation calculation is quick and easy and it natively posts journals into our accounting system. The system is very fast even on a mobile and we really like the reporting features and charting plus the ab
