I like how quickly they implement your suggestions. We would request for certain features that were not yet available to be considered in future development, and within a couple of weeks our ideas were added to the software. I like how they simplified the onboarding process. For the most part their HR records platform works pretty well. The problems I came across were from using the benefit platform. The customer service process needs work. You have no direct contact (broker) to call/email when you have issues. There is a generic email address and phone number and a random rep will respond. You may have multiple conversations going at once with different people. There are also quite a few errors that have been made throughout our time with Zenefits, i.e. benefit plans from the previous year were not re-uploaded during open enrollment, therefore, were unavailable to our employees, enrollment apps were not sent to the carrier on time so employees who thought they had coverage did not, eligibility dates were not correct so benefit enrollments were not completed on time and the ACA reporting was a complete mess. In the end I do not trust Zenefits to get what I need and do as much work possible directly with the carriers. This company has a great concept, however, they have many growing pains to endure and unless you can afford to be a part of the trial by error learning curve, I would suggest going a different direction until they are more established.
