Zenefits changed my work life. I used to have spreadsheets, pdfs, word docs, insurance forms and the hiring process used to be a spiderweb of isolated units. With Zenefits they are all centralized and synced with payroll. Hiring people takes me less than 3 minutes now and our employees can all self-enroll in health and disability insurance. Employees manage their own information, including adding dependents, requesting PTO, changing their address, changing their bank info for payroll, etc. It's free, customer service is solid and the application user experience and interface are great. I should give the disclaimer that my company helped them with their branding, but my review is completely independent of our experience working with Zenefits.

Saw Zenefits in an in-flight magazine and gave them a shot. They took us through the full health insurance renewal process, and actually saved our company a bit of money. Can't really speak for their other features outside of benefits, but the online benefits enrollment process was easier then what we've done in the past.

Noticed Zenefits in an in-flight magazine and gave them a shot for our renewal. They took us through the whole renewal process, which went well, and they actually helped us save a bit of money. The online enrollment made things easier than the last time around, when we used papers. Only used them for benefits, and that worked well. Good option for benefits administration, if you're in the market.

It helps me as a startup founder focus all my time on our product and business by taking care of a whole bunch of administrative hassles! Having a single platform that takes care of payroll, health insurance, employee management, commuter benefits and more is a godsend for anyone that is strapped for time. It's still a bit complicated - largely because the underlying services, including health insurance, are complicated and filled with tons of byzantine rules. First build a list of what your business needs and where your biggest pain points are. Then compare that to what Zenefits (or any other provider offers). Pick the software that does the most to alleviate your pain at the lowest cost.

Employee onboarding is ideal. Employees fill out all their own forms, like health insurance paperwork, online. There have been some hiccups, but it's worlds better than the paper pushing we were doing before. The time off feature is especially nice. Their support representatives are youthful and earnest, and really go the extra mile for you. Can occasionally be hard to get a hold of, but not unreasonably so. They're free so if you're looking for the same services that other providers offer at zero cost, then it's a no brainer. Overall happy.

It's so easy to use. I don't have to think about insurance and stuff. There's a limit on how much I can pay contractors through the platform per week. I want to pay them all through Zenefits so I don't have to think about 1099s. I'd also like the ACH to move faster, but that's probably outside of Zenefit's scope. Try to set up group insurance on your own through an agent before using Zenefits (no, not really), but that will give you an idea of how awesome it is.

This system is great for nonprofits. We use it to manage our health insurance, annual leave, onboarding, termination, and HSA accounts. It has saved me a tremendous amount of time and hassle having everything conveniently in one place. Zenefits makes it really easy to onboard and maintain employees' paperwork for compliance, payroll, and benefits. It saves me so much time and work. Super easy to use. Free. Better than everything else. For benefits and workers' comp, you have to upload a spreadsheet with info about your employees. That info is already in Zenefits, so it's kind of dumb to make me do the extra work. There are some rough edges, like not being able to update information on work locations. But Zenefits keeps getting better and better, and I'm sure they'll fix this stuff before long!

“Why in the world would you all hold my money…”
Why in the world would you all hold my money for 7-10 bussiness days?, you say you are making sure the check is not going to bounce but you only need a couple of days to do this. Zenefits time frame is unrealistic, customer service is incredibly poor at it's best, seems like employees don't really know how to communicate what is really happening with a kind of shrugging their shoulders , Oh well kind of way. Spoke to a manager about the withholding of pay and they say that there is another middle man apart from them. Can you please let companies know this information before they use your services. Very unsatisfied with this company, they definitely need to step it up.
