As a Shopify Partners agency developer working on Plus client implementations, my view is from the technical side. Hydrogen and Oxygen for headless builds have matured into a credible alternative to Next.js with custom backend. Shopify Functions unlocked customisation we previously needed third-party apps for. The Liquid templating language is friendly enough that designers can collaborate on theme work. Where I push back: theme architecture inheritance and section composition could be cleaner, and Online Store 2.0 still has rough edges for complex layouts. The Partner Dashboard is functional but reporting on revenue across client stores could be richer. Documentation quality varies - some areas are excellent, others are sparse. Strong recommend for any agency building commerce solutions.
