Scaling a mentoring program across multiple shelter clients is exactly the kind of thing that breaks most software about six months in. GetPet has held up. My team runs this on behalf of several adoption organizations at once, and the mentor assignment workflow stays clean even as the volume of new adopters grows week over week. A year in, I honestly expected more growing pains. The swipe-to-favorite flow that brings potential adopters into the funnel is intuitive enough that our clients barely need handholding, which matters when you're managing it for them rather than sitting in their office.
The mentor matching piece is where GetPet earns real points. Pairing a first-time adopter with someone who has been through the same experience, especially with older pets who come with history, is not a simple coordination task. GetPet makes it manageable. Customer support has been genuinely responsive when we've hit edge cases, and for what they charge, the value is hard to argue with. If you're running this at scale across multiple client accounts, it holds together better than I expected.
