Scaling a sales team from twelve reps to just over sixty is the kind of growth that breaks most CRM setups. Freshsales held up. I started with it five years ago when our department was small enough that I knew every deal in the pipeline by memory. Now I oversee a team that spans three regions, and the platform has genuinely grown with us. User provisioning, territory rules, custom modules for different product lines, none of that required us to rebuild from scratch. That matters more than people realize until they're suddenly onboarding eight new reps in one quarter.
The AI-assisted lead scoring has become part of how my team prioritizes every single morning. It's not perfect, but it surfaces the right signals often enough that reps trust it, which is honestly half the battle. The pipeline views are clean, and the reporting is flexible enough that I stopped exporting everything to spreadsheets about three years back. Workflow automations took some trial and error to get right, but once they clicked, the repetitive follow-up tasks mostly run themselves.
My one real frustration is the customer support experience as you move up in seat count. Early on, responses were fast and genuinely helpful. These days, with a larger account, I get routed through more tiers before someone who knows the product deeply jumps in. It slows things down when something breaks right before a quarter close. That gripe aside, I'd point any growing sales org toward Freshsales before almost anything else I've tried. Five years in and I still open it before my coffee gets cold.
