Somewhere around employee thirty, our old tracking spreadsheet quietly fell apart. I found TrackSmart, got the whole team onboarded in under a week, and honestly haven't looked back. What impressed me most is how little friction there was in scaling it. Adding new hires takes maybe two minutes. Permissions, schedules, approval chains, all of it adjusts without me having to rebuild anything from scratch. For a startup moving fast, that matters enormously.
I'm not even three months in, so I can't speak to long-term edge cases. Customer support has been quick and genuinely helpful, which is more than I expected at this price point. The reporting dashboard is clean enough that I actually use it, rather than exporting raw data and massaging it elsewhere. If your headcount is climbing and you need something that won't crack under the growth, this is worth a serious look.
