Managing CRM operations for a mid-market B2B company, my Mailchimp use is heavily integration-driven. Salesforce sync via the native connector handles 80% of what I need. The remaining 20% involves Zapier for ad-hoc triggers and a couple of custom scripts hitting the API. The API documentation is thorough and rate limits are reasonable for our send volume. Where I push back: the contacts model versus audiences model creates duplicate-management headaches when you have overlap across audiences. Tags help but the structure feels dated. Reporting exports are usable but I've ended up piping data into our warehouse for proper analysis. Customer service on technical questions has been good - real engineers when escalation is needed.
