Six months into running HR for a small educational nonprofit, and Freshteam has handled most of what I throw at it. Onboarding documents, time-off workflows, the employee directory, it all works well enough that I stopped dreading Monday mornings.
The edge cases, though. Custom time-off policies with non-standard accrual rules kept breaking on me, and the workarounds I found in their support docs felt like duct tape. If your org has anything unusual in its leave structure, budget extra time to test it thoroughly before you go live. That one issue aside, solid pick for a team our size.
