Five years is long enough to see a platform through its honeymoon phase and into the harder truth. Avionte has a lot going for it on paper. The ATS and payroll side genuinely work together in a way that our old patchwork setup never did, and the compliance tools have saved my team real headaches when we're onboarding large batches of temp workers quickly. The mobile talent app is one feature I actually brag about to recruiters. Candidates engage with it. That part works.
Scaling across a growing department is where things start to unravel a little. When my team was under 20 people, configuration felt manageable. Now, with more than 50 recruiters and coordinators using the platform daily, the admin overhead is noticeable. Permission structures are clunky, and onboarding a new hire into the system takes longer than it should because the role setup lacks the kind of fine-grained control you'd expect at this stage of the product's maturity. Reporting is also uneven. Some modules give me exactly what I need. Others feel half-finished, and I end up exporting to a spreadsheet anyway.
Customer support has improved over the years, but response times during crunch periods are still inconsistent. I've had tickets sit for three or four business days when I needed answers in hours. For the price point, I expect a faster loop. I'm not ready to rip this out and start over, and the payroll processing volume alone keeps me anchored to it. But if you're growing fast and expecting the platform to scale effortlessly alongside you, go in with clear eyes. It will scale, just not without some friction.
