What do you like best?
1. It's functional

2. The live chat receptionists are beyond excellent and don't make mistakes.

What do you dislike?
The chat widget is mobile friendly, but doesn't lend itself to starting open or opening since it takes up a lot of smart phone real estate. Very minor and Super far from being a deal killer.

Do it! Very inexpensive given what it buys you.

Added live chat to website. Benefit is some leads really prefer live chat to phone or contact forms.

I switched over to Smith.ai in February after a very bad experience with another big name competitior. The difference in service is night and day. Any concern I have had has been promptly addressed and they have taken it seriously, even if it wasn't as big a deal to me. My prior service would gaslight me and pay me lipservice. Smith.ai has actually booked appointments for me, when the others didn't book a single appointment in three months. I'm a solo firm so having a reception service that is bilingual, friendly, courteous, and proactive has made a big difference in my client-happiness rating.

Pros: I've used smith.ai receptionist services, and the Live Chat was a no brainer for me. The live chat receptionists interact in real time with website visitors in the same way he or she would interact on a live phone call. I've received great leads from the service. I think it's important to meet leads where they are, and they now expect live chat.

Cons: I honestly can't think of a negative. Smith.ai Live Chat has been great for my firm.

I switched to Smith.ai after having a bad experience with the Lex Reception/AnswerConnect company. Smith has been professional, courteous, responsive, proactive, and collaborative. They never fail to address questions or concerns and usually do so within 24 hours. I've been very pleased with the service so far.

Overall: I started with Smith 3 years ago after hearing the developer speaking on a podcast. I really needed to stop answering my own phones and I needed to gain some distance between myself and my clients when I was starting my business. Smith was a great option. I sighed up with them and never looked back. They even make outgoing calls and can help me with other tasks besides handing incoming communications.

Pros: I really like that I am able to put my website to the best possible use. I have a business where people will Google search and then pick the first business that communicates with them. It is vital to communicate with incoming contacts. Smith is great. They have awesome customer service and always make clients feel welcomed and valued.

Cons: The free version does not work well. The receptionist answered chat is the service that really works.

"Helped Streamline Our Firm"

The best part of Smith.ai is the fact that our clients can reach someone 24/7 via chat or phone. This has increased our clients' satisfaction with our firm and services.

Sometimes the receptionists do not follow the instructions provided by the firm causing some communication issues.

Our front office staff has more time to complete other tasks without having to worry about the phone calls, voicemails, or chats being missed. This makes our firm more productive.

The team has been helpful, responsive, and has helped with everything along the way.

Pros
Smith.ai has finally allowed us a scalable and affordable way to stay staffed 24/7. We had been dealing with a large volume of chat traffic to our website during off-hours (late nights & weekends) and were missing sales leads consistently. We tried overseas options, outsourced staffing in the US, and a variety of automated options but we didn't find a solution we were happy with until Smith.ai. Smith.ai has allowed us to convert a higher number of leads, and provide a much higher level of customer satisfaction. Would highly recommend to any team looking to increase response times and convert more leads.

Cons
It took some time to set up the Q&A portion initially, but it was well worth it.

The entire Smith.ai team is top of the line and the service that they provide is exactly what law firms need. From live chat, phone, intake, and much more! They are always pushing to provide more and more - a true definition of pushing the envelop when it comes to client intake and process. Smith.ai has provided several years of great service for our agency, but also for our clients. I confidently refer clients to the Smith.ai team and they never disappoint me. Highly recommended!

Return on Investment

I was not certain this service would provide any return on investment, particularly with the chat service.

It was my mistake. Within the first week I noticed an uptick in leads from the chat service. Regarding the telephone service. No problems. The service helps to provide a professional decorum.
