We have been with them for 5 years (having used several of their services). We just finally migrated our last site away from them THANK GOD!!! By far the worst hosting provider we have ever used. Their support is HORRIBLE. It doesn't matter if you have a managed account or not... you can always count on their support to be pretty, well... un-supporting. We discovered a problem that was within their network (not on our server) that grinded our business to a halt. They were incapable of resolving the matter (in fact, they would barely even bother to lift a finger until we threatened to leave). We also paid extra to have automated backups with them. Just about every single time we checked on them they would not be running. They will never be proactive in figuring it out for you. When we would catch it, they would never credit any of the money. They would take days to get it fixed each time (only to fail again a couple weeks later unbeknownst to us). Even though our website didn't work at all during the last billing period, they still wouldn't issue a refund. This place is a JOKE!

Not sure who wrote the software for the mail enable webmail but it is absolutely atrocious. It takes numerous attempts to login because the login page continually times out. Frequently we just give up. Can't even get to the customer service complaints page - just doesn't display. This should be a pretty basic default service for a web hosting company.

It was a real struggle trying to find a hosting company that were prepared to help me set up my website and database. I'm not very techy but Netcetera's sales staff were excellent and when I did experience some problems, which were mostly down to me, the technical support guys really helped me put things together. Their pricing is reasonable and they are really patient, especially when you need help like I did.

“Firstly I raised a complaint I had with the company,…”
Firstly I raised a complaint I had with the company, has not been acknowledged. They say on their website if not happy with their complaints procedure an independent organisation will handle it. The independent organisation is called, Internet Service Providers Association, I contacted them and they said that they do not recognize Netcetera. Netcetera are based in the Isle of Man and are therfore exempt from UK law. KEEP CLEAR OF NETCETERA because the simple problem with my hosting that I raised after 3 days has not been addressed. I have a website hosted with www.netcetera.co.uk, I raised a fault with them and after 3 days they have failed to address the fault and have now started to make make a fool of me. php $_SESSION variables are not working, that is they continue to change for each session instead of holding a constant value during the session. I have raised 10 tickets of concern. Each response show a complete lack of understanding by the company. The only response has been 'is it working now'. To ask me if a problem on their server is working would show a complete lack of understanding about a basic problem. I also had a previous problem, php scripts were not working, and I had the same problem trying to resolve that.

Although we have been a Netcetera customer for over 10 years with little complaints over the past year or so they are going downhill fast. The support is terrible with an online ticket system so cannot call unless you log a ticket but even then when you call and enter the ticket number it just hangs up on you so almost impossible to actually talk to someone. The support do not read tickets in full, they reply with a question most times but the answer is actually in the original ticket. The other times they reply with a KB article which at times would be helpful but for simple things like how to edit an A record or transfer a domain when we have hundreds already is really patronising. Lately our own website (also on the shared hosting with Netcetera) got hacked and they quickly moved us from a 2003 server to a new 2012 server, great except we had to request all other clients get moved too then a few weeks later one of our clients got hacked and we found they were still on the old server. Now we cannot edit ftp or mail accounts as the portal is STILL pointing to the old server after many weeks. Today our own website got hacked AGAIN and have not had a reply from them which we logged at 8.30 this morning (now after lunch) I have called them but they cannot help over the phone, tried to speak to a manager of some sort but we cannot. Really don't want to move all of our domains but if cannot sort out the issues they will leave us no choice! Ironically the responses I see here from them are what we would like in a ticket or an email. Sort it out Netcetera

during December had massive down time leading to loss of email and webserver for around 7-10 days . we lost a lot of important emails and business. generally netcetera experiences more problems then others with mail server and webserver . have used them for more than 2 years and generally not the most reliable . will be migrating to 1and 1 now
