From a developer perspective, Rossum's fairly open approach to allowing for modification of the UI and how data is processed through Rossum was the true sell point. My company has very specific needs and the ability to scale the UI up or down on the fly is incredible and easy. I dislike Rossum's handling of large .pdf documents. I'm not sure what they need to do about it, but these documents will cause the UI to crash and take a long time to process. It will be quite the undertaking, but the hardest part is training users, not the setup of the product itself. Taking each and everyone's needs into account and shaping Rossum for your business can be chhallenging, but it is well worth it in the end. Did you find this review helpful?

Rossum is open to innovation, they practically permanently improve their product. They work proactively with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Rossum cloud solution is modern with advanced technology and at the same time easy to use. However, increased communication security is paid extra. The way of integrating Rossum and the Accounting/ERP system is very important. This integration determines the final quality of the entire solution. The original integration via RPA robots was slow, unreliable, and with insufficient "offline" control. With online integration into SAP for each document, we see directly in Rossum all the necessary online data downloaded from SAP with direct control. Only a subscription fee is required, no need for a big investment for the initial stage. The accuracy of recognition depends on AI so, it might difficult to manage by the end-user side. But customer success manager and engineers help us. It's not a big concern. Support of Rossum staff is swift and reliable, also keen to solve user's issue. I really like how Rossum has the ability to quickly read data from all pdfs and directly transmit it to core. Sometimes, Rossum doesn't transport the data to core. This is frustrating when I don't save the data to an excel file before I click confirm because you cannot go back to Rossum once you click confirm. Whether PDF files or images, you can easily read out the data. Just load the file into the program and the program recognizes the text. To check for correctness, a split-screen is shown: on one side you see what the program has read, and on the other side you see the corresponding text highlighted on the image. This way you can check quickly the correctness of the OCR. Tables can also be tracked so that they are in the correct formatting, this is something I have been missing in similar programs. If there is a problem, you can easily report it with the button "Report a problem". The program is very reliable but does not offer one hundred percent reliability. As for the OCR service itself, it seems quite accurate and is capable of capturing any value that we've needed to use so far. You can also extend the "reviewing" interface with your own custom fields (for example, we map the "sender" of an invoice to a "vendor" entry in our database) and Rossum seems to even apply some of its AI magic to remember past values for your custom fields when similar invoices come in the future. With Rossum, we'll be able to offer our customers faster document processing times and save them the tedium of manual data entry. Rossum's made my job easier, and I think the benefit of that has trickled into other areas of my life as well.
