Monday, November 30, 2020 #85787 Normand M. “Best Road Design Software” Overall: Softree has some of the same support team and programmers from when I started working with this product for about 25 years now. I've seen this product evolve so much and through it all they have maintained a consistent support network of people and quality product. The technical support with Softree is unbeatable, anytime you have a question or an issue they are quick to help you and guide you through to a solution. Softree has amazingly friendly and knowledgeable staff ready to help you for sales OR technical support and I'm great full for that. Pros: I've been using Roadeng for 25 years. My primary use is for Road designs and general construction designs of surfaces. Roadeng is a very user friendly platform and provides me with the ability to generate quality designs very quickly and produce a stakeout file for construction grade staking. Friday, November 27, 2020 #85789 Kelly F “Improved Road Design with associated cost reductions ” Pros: I can determine if a target road standard can be met with a small desktop investment. I can then utilize the program to drive to the best possible design in terms of grades and visibility while managing project costs. Support is first rate whenever I have questions or trouble. Cons: Individuals making use of the program will have to have invested in learning the program and making use of all of its utility and have practical road construction understanding to apply the correct parameters to the solution.
