No one taught me that your credit is important, so I spent the better part of my twenties getting crazy (in debt, that is). Let me be blunt, I didn't realize that my bad credit would create a problem for me even while looking to rent a place from someone!! It goes without saying I had to work to improve my credit score rather waiting for a contingency situation to strike again which I might not even be ready for. Looking into ways to improve my score, I found out about Cool Credit. I was super skeptical about using them or any such service. Credit repair was kind of like a foreign concept to me. Now I don’t know how they did it, but my credit score did a full 180! Their representative said I had something negative that they were able to dispute off my report for a long time, GOSH!!

The really cool thing about Cool Credit is that while you’re paying for the affordable service, they report payments to the credit bureaus, which is further helping my score while I wait for the negative items to be removed. It felt like a good investment for my future and I’m happy that I took the chance to try them out.

I had a credit score of 443. I do have a mortgage, but due to the pandemic, my re-payments have been irregular, assuming there must be so many similar cases out there. The only option I had was to seek some help to get my credit score to improve, somehow as I barely had anytime to do it on my own. I came across Cool Credit and a few more tools online. CC's way to go about it was to first define my report and then start cleaning it. I went from having a score of 443 to 620 in a short time. Actually, there were a bunch of hard inquiries impacting my score that weren’t supposed to be there. Better late than never, I guess!

It’s been ten long years since I had to go through the unfortunate foreclosure of my condo! To say that times were tough is an understatement.
