The platform just works - inventory sync, multi-channel selling across Instagram, TikTok Shop, and our retail partners through Shopify POS, all in one place. The app ecosystem is double-edged: incredible breadth, but app sprawl can balloon your monthly costs and create dependency risk. Theme customisation required hiring a Liquid developer once we outgrew the visual editor. Checkout conversion has been strong and Shop Pay one-click is meaningfully lifting our repeat purchase rate. Hydrogen and Oxygen for headless builds have matured into a credible alternative to Next.js with custom backend. Shopify Functions unlocked customisation we previously needed third-party apps for. Where I push back: theme architecture inheritance and section composition could be cleaner, and Online Store 2.0 still has rough edges for complex layouts.
