What is Online Issue Tracking Software?
Online Issue Tracking Software (or "Issue Tracking System") is computer software used by organizations to maintain a database of current issues and problems, and the progress made in resolving those problems. When an issue occurs, a new support ticket is entered into an ITS system with all relevant details available. The ticket is forwarded to appropriate support staff, who update the ticket as they work to resolve the issue. When the issue is fixed, the ticket is closed and removed from the tracking system, or archived.
